Press Release  |  Fleet Week San Diego

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Air Force Takes on Aztecs in the Fourth Annual Fleet Week Football Classic

SAN DIEGO, October 7, 2008 – Fleet Week San Diego is quickly approaching the end of its events for 2008 – but wait! We have one great event to mention: the Fleet Week Football Classic. The San Diego State University Aztecs will battle the Air Force Falcons at Qualcomm Stadium on Saturday, October 11.

The pregame and half-time festivities will pay tribute to our military service members, especially those in the San Diego region. Expected activities include a Boeing C-17 flyover, parachutists invading the sky, all while Navy Region Southwest and SDSU bands provide musical entertainment. These activities are thanks to General Dynamics, the halftime sponsor. Fans can also enjoy the postgame KGB Sky Show filled with music and fireworks.

Ticket Information

Military personnel, retirees and dependents can purchase tickets at the Navy MWR and Marine Corps MCCS ticket outlets. The public can buy general admission tickets at the SDSU Athletics Department website at goaztecs.collegesports.com. For more information, please visit www.fleetweeksandiego.org/events/2008/fleetweekfootballclassic.htm.
