Amy Lewis \| Principal Amy Lewis is the Principal of Strategy Communications and has over a decade of experience working in the field of public relations and media. She is very involved with the daily tasks on her company, and takes a hands-on approach when it comes to working with her staff, clients and the media. She not only effectively runs the organizations but also actively recruits new business and responds to new business solicitations, manages all client service activities, maintains excellent media relationships, executes client’s public relations campaigns and encourages client’s success in the media through tactical PR campaigns. While working on her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and Communications from the University of California, San Diego, Amy was first introduced to the media when she began her career with KUSI. After working at KUSI as a writer for the nightly newscasts, she capitalized on her newly honed writing skills and love of working with the media by venturing into the world of public relations - working for small San Diego agencies until founding Strategy Communications. Amy is clearly a “jack-of-all-trades” in the field of public relations. Her past experiences have included, but aren’t limited to working with non-profit organizations, extreme sports companies, within the field of consumer public relations, and with clients in real estate and the medical services industry. She looks forward to expanding her public relations agency, yet looks to maintain a personal relationship and “boutique” feel with clients as well as staff. Amy's favorite aspects of her job is working with the media and mentoring new staff. She also looks forward to eventually returning to the academic world to pursue a graduate degree and teach at the university level. As an active member in the community, Amy belongs to and participates in Big Brothers and Sisters of America, the Holiday Bowl, a yearly college football event sponsored by Pacific Life. In addition, she is involved with Fleet Week San Diego and enjoys the many events that they have - including the Port of San Diego Sea & Air Parade and Coronado Speed Festival. Both events raise consciousness and pay tribute to those who have served in the military. Amy resides in Rancho San Diego with her husband, Travis, and her son Noah. She is just as active in her free time as she is in her professional life, enjoying activities such as kickboxing, yoga, biking and playing with her dog at the beach.
